Feelings of depression and anxiety often arise out of situations which are uncomfortable--whether due to work conditions, communication difficulties with a partner, or family dysfunction. Learning new ways of viewing situations, or responding to them, often can alleviate tensions and start the process of transformation.

Physical and emotional problems often go hand-in-hand; therefore, I work cooperatively with your doctor to rule out physical causes of emotional symptoms, and to ascertain whether medications might be useful for you.
